We are happy to announce that our new brand PublicSonar is live! Our new name exemplifies what we do, and who we are. We help public sector organizations make sense of open social media data. By analogy, sonars are used to detect objects. Our ‘sonar’ helps organizations detect incidents, crises, public issues, or topics of concern and obtain real-time intelligence on these events instantly.
We once started as a research project back in 2012 under the wings of TU Delft and TNO and were known as Twitcident. We were one of the first movers to address and solve the ‘big data’ challenges related to social media and crises. We did many analyses and case studies and proved the value of social media in these situations. Today, we are proud that many organizations use our technology to monitor social media on a daily basis.
